Ceramic floor covering provides attractive, long-lasting, low-maintenance floors. A good adherence of ceramic tiles will result in a top-quality floor. Note that ceramic tile surface durability depends on the way it is used and cared for.
- Wash the ceramic floor with warm water to get rid of minor spots. Add a ceramic detergent for severe stains.
- You can use a moderately abrasive powder to clean ceramic tiles that are not glazed, although, it would alter the finish on the glazed tiles. Do not let a cleaning solution stand longer than necessaryv.
- Once the floor is cleaned, rinse thoroughly and dry out as much as possible.
- Different types of dirt like dust or sand increase the trampling abrasive effect. Keeping the floor as clean as possible by putting a door mat at the entrance will avoid tracking dirt into the room.
- Use a cleaning product specially designed for ceramic. Strong detergents containing acid may deteriorate the tile finish or the filling between tiles.
